The School Day
The school day starts at 08:45. This means children need to be in school BEFORE 08:45 in order to make the most of their learning. If your child walks to school on their own, make sure they leave with plenty of time to get to school; and remind them to hurry!
You will all be aware that we have KEEP CLEAR signs outside school and by the traffic barrier in Queens Drive. Please respect these. They ensure the safety of children crossing the road at these points. The council have also warned us that large fines are issued for parking on them.
Boys’ KS2 Football Team
The team performed admirably, once again, this week, battling their way to their second consecutive final. This time they were pipped at the post by Grasmere, having won the rest of their matches with ease. Well done guys. The next trophy will come soon.
Our beautiful Christmas tree (sponsored by Michael Morris Estate Agents) has now arrived from the Christmas Forest in Finsbury Park. The ethically minded, family-run business sells real Christmas trees; all of which are sustainably grown and mainly from the UK to save on 'tree miles'. Every tree sold funds the planting of a tree for a community in Africa. This year the campaign is in Mali. Last year over 178,376 trees were planted in the African drylands.
Don't forget the Xmas Fair is next Thursday 8th Dec 3.30-5.30. We still need helpers! Buy your entrance ticket early at the office: £1 for adults, children go free! Your ticket includes a free drink.
