The School Day

Please remember that the school gate is open from 08:30. You can bring children in from 08:30 which gives you a better chance of being on time for school. If you aim to arrive at 08:45, your child will probably be late for school.

End of Term

And so we say farewell to winter and head through Spring and into summer. I hope that everyone has a wonderful two weeks off. As well as reading every day, remember to take advantage of the improving weather. Enjoy some of Hackney. Haringey or Islington parks or hop on a train at Finsbury Park and explore somewhere further afield. There are some beautiful fields ad woodlands less than half and hour away and still within reach by Oyster card.

Class Photographs

Class photograph proofs should have reached you  please can you get your photograph orders in by Tuesday 18th April.  If you have not received you proof, please contact the office.

FOP News

FoP are still looking for willing parents or carers to team up with us for Job Share Positions.  Could you take on 50% of the role of Chair, or Treasurer or Secretary? Please help us make it possible for FoP to continue.

Nursery Fundraising Event will take place on Friday 5th May.  We will be selling cakes and sweets and holding a Sunflower Growing Competition after school.

Buy your seed (includes a pot with dirt) and grow it at home.  Window sills work fine if you don't have a garden.  Bring back to school at a date still to be set, near the end of July.  Let's see who can grow the best looking flower!

FOP has now registered for gift aid and can now claim an additional 25% on any donation given to the school. If you make a donation for breakfast club or for any other purpose please fill in a form (available from the office) and increase it’s value for the school.

When shopping online please don't forget to use easyfundraising to raise free funds for our school. Just follow the link

Thank you! Friends of Parkwood (FoP; Halina, Liz & Laura)
