The School Day

Please remember that the school gate is open from 08:30. You can bring children in from 08:30 which gives you a better chance of being on time for school. If you aim to arrive at 08:45, your child will probably be late for school.

Walk To School Week

Thank you to everyone who managed to walk to school this week—even in the rain. See if you can keep it up in next week’s dry weather.

New Headtacher

We are happy to now confirm that the new headteacher who will starting in September is Paul Thomas.  Mr Thomas will be coming into school  for various meetings from next term and also to meet staff and parents.

FOP News

Thank you to all parents and children who bought cakes and sunflowers to grow last week. I’m sure they are all growing well! We raised around £200!  Lara (nursery) is still looking for  parents who have green fingers to come and help out with the further developments at Forest School which will be available to all children (keystage 1 & 2) in the following months. If you can volunteer some time, she will be there Sunday 28th May: 11am-2pm and Monday 29th May: 10am-2pm.  Please note that as it will involve dangerous tools and access to open water children will not be permitted on-site at these times.

Please come and join the local demonstration in Clissold park on Friday 26th May. We will meet at school at 3.30pm to march down to Clissold Park together. If you can please bake a cake for the park cake sale to support the campaign. Sign up to our what’s app group and/or e-mail us to be involved!

Don’t forget: Summer Fair on Sat 1st July! Let us know what you can do!

Also, could you Share one of our committee roles with us? Could you take on 50% of the role of Chair, or Treasurer or Secretary? Please help us make it possible for FoP to continue.  When shopping online please don't forget to use easyfundraising to raise free funds for our school. Just follow the link

We raised £65 this way in the last 3 months!

We now have a Friends of Parkwood What’s App group, if you would like to join it too (you can leave when you want to and ‘mute’ the notifications), please text Laura your name and number on 07909591898 or e-mail us, or use the link below introducing yourself and saying what year your child is in:
