The School Day

Please remember that the school gate is open from 08:30. You can bring children in from 08:30 which gives you a better chance of being on time for school. If you aim to arrive at 08:45, your child will probably be late for school.

Half Term

Have lovely week off school everyone. Remember to spend plenty of time outside, while the weather lasts. Visit all of the local parks, wander down to the new Wetlands Centre and even hop on a train to the nearby countryside And leave those tablets charging!

We would like to congratulate our Year 2 pupils on completing their KS1 SATS tests this week. We kept everything very low key and the children enjoyed their slightly different lessons. All children worked hard and behaved sensibly throughout all the tests.

We currently have spaces in the following classes:

Y1—3 spaces

Y3—5 speaces

Y4—2 spaces

If you have any friends looking for a space at Parkwood, get them to visit the Learning Trust as soon as possible.

We also  have a number of spaces available in Nursery for this autumn, both full time 30 hour and part time morning or afternoon spaces. Make everyone you know aware that the most outstanding nursery in the area  is currently under-subscribed for September.

New Headtacher

Please see the attached message from our new Head Teacher, Paul Thomas.

FOP News

The FoP and a number of staff will be attending a picnic protest against cuts to education in Hackney. The event will take place at Clissold Park from 3:30pm. Please take along your children and show your support for Parkwood and the other great schools in Hackney. The funding cuts will have a real affect on the quality of your child’s education. If you do not act, your kids will lose out. Please show your support.
