The School Day
Lots of families have been turning up after 8:45 recently. This disrupts the start of your child’s day and makes it harder for them to settle in. Please remember that the school gate is open from 08:30. You can bring children in from 08:30 which gives you a better chance of being on time for school. Please try, it helps your child, the teacher and the other children.
Y1 Phonics Test
Almost all of our Y1 children completed their Phonics Screening this week. With just one child still to take the test, we already know that we have equalled our best ever results in phonics. Well done to Layla, the Y1 children and all of our staff who teach phonics, for such fantastic results.

Street Party—Princess Crescent
Don’t forget to go to Princess Crescent's first-ever street party on Sunday 18th June, from 1pm. There will lots to do for young and old alike. Go along and have fun. Please bring some food to share with others, and if you don't live too far away, a stool or chair to sit on. We hope to see you there!
Y3 Fun Run—Wow, just wow! Not only did almost 100 children take part, but we raised more than any other class fund raising event that the school has ever run—well done to Y3 children and parents for organising such an incredible event and perfect weather to match. FoP have decided to donate some of the funds raised to the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire. Our thoughts are with all the families affected and we felt that we would like to do something to help. Pictures next week.
Summer Fair on Sat 1st July!
