Parkwood News 8th September 2017

Friday, September 8, 2017

Dear Parents and children,

I would like to welcome you all back and say how much I am looking forward to meeting you over the next few weeks. I hope you all enjoyed the summer break and had a chance to spend quality time relaxing either here in London or else where around the world.

As you can see we have a new look Newsflash, including a Chatterbox Challenge to encourage speaking and listening and some deeper thinking about different things each week. By now the children should have had chance to settle into their new classes, meet their new teachers and tell you all about their exciting first week. One of the things the children have been doing is thinking about the school values and how we can talk about these in terms of our learning.

Each class discussed these and as a school we have decided on our values as:

Respect Patience

Thoughtfulness Generosity

Confidence Leadership

Perseverance

These will feature in our Celebration Assemblies on Friday Mornings where all parents are invited. We hope you get a chance to speak with your children about these values and how they are able to show them in their learning.
